Arlington Estate - June 16, 2023

It was a gorgeous summer day in Vaughan and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this amazing couple, Miriam & Dusan. After months of planning and designing alongside them, their one-of-a-kind wedding was finally here!

The day started off with our team checking in with the ladies at their Air BNB they rented that was about 10 minutes away from the wedding venue, which is very convenient as they were able to maximize their time in the morning. A check-in is a must for our team because all we want is for you to enjoy your day, so when we’re there with you we can manage the day and ensure everything is running on time.

Sticking to the black and white theme of this luxurious and modern wedding, the bridesmaids all had matching black robes and slippers, while the bride was in white.

Another perk of having our team onsite with you is setting up flat lay photos that capture your wedding day details, which ultimately help tell your story. It’s also a great help for your photo and video team, because they don’t have to spend time organizing these details and are able to get started on capturing your day as soon as they arrive. Bridal details

All our couples have access to our flat lay styling kit, which includes details like ring box, risers to elevate your stationery, ribbon & so much more!

While our team is checking in with the couple, another 1 or 2 team members (depending on the size of your wedding) will be at your venue managing your vendor team and ensuring your vision is flawlessly executed. Miriam & Dusan chose to have their ceremony and reception at The Arlington Estate. Their ceremony was held in the Loggia and because it was such a perfect summer day in Vaughan, we were able to open the windows and have a nice breeze for guests to stay cool while waiting for the ceremony to start.

Can we take a second to appreciate this custom fluted bar by Happiest Hour with acrylic details from Ro Design and Co.. The best part? It later turned into the DJ table with the help of our team to coordinate to ensure it was a seamless transition without taking away from the overall guest experience.

Miriam & Dusan wanted to maximize their time with their guests, so opted for a first look before the ceremony.

There are many reasons why having a first look is a good idea, and just to touch on a few:

You’ll be able to capture wedding party photos after, which means you’ll have the time to actually enjoy your cocktail reception with your guests

As you know, the couple decided to have a first look, so they were able to capture all their wedding party photos beforehand (including family photos as well!). This helps to alleviate the pressure of getting ALL the photos done during your cocktail reception. Our team was onsite to help manage these photos, so we were ahead of schedule and everyone had some time to relax before it was time to say “I Do”, which is a win win in our eyes - don’t you think?

Details were VERY important to the couple, and they always are for us too, because personalized details are what truly makes your wedding so unique and memorable. The couple both have east European backgrounds and a tradition in their culture is having a shot before any celebration, so of course when we heard this we knew a shot seating wall was a must! It was hard to source exactly what they wanted, so we were able to secure a vendor who was up for the challenge to create a custom seating wall so it was exactly what we envisioned. It turned out absolutely stunning, matched their decor perfectly and keeping with the acrylic details throughout their wedding design, we had acrylic seating tags. It was a statement decor piece, guest experience and unique details all wrapped up in one!

Miriam and Dusan wanted a wedding that was timeless, modern, luxurious and included black, white and acrylic details. We helped make their dream wedding design a reality by working closely with Right Choice Linen. Our team put together a design proposal to showcase how the couple wanted their wedding day to look AND feel. We visit your wedding venue(s) before to take measurements and get inspiration from the space itself. Our team likes to design based on what is already included in your wedding venue, as working with what the space already has always works in your favour.

For example, The East Wing room in The Arlington Estate has these modern glass doors with black trim that lead out to a balcony that overlooks the gorgeous property. It’s the perfect space for guests to enjoy during your cocktail reception, late night service or just to get some fresh air during the night, so covering them with drapery wouldn’t have been ideal. Therefore, we worked with the space and kept it open, but elevated the sweetheart table so it didn’t get lost and was still a focal point when guests entered the room. We also had white vinyl from one end of the room, covering the dancefloor all the way to the head table stage so it looked clean and worked with the overall design of the space.

Candles were a must, so having a variety of them throughout their reception was a no brainer. From the modern candelabras, to the long tables that were lined with single roses and candles, it was truly a one-of-a-kind wedding! Having elements at different heights is always pleasing to the eye and will create some drama to the space without being overpowering.

We mixed acrylic chairs with silver chrome chairs since we had long and round tables, as well as 3 different centerpieces.

Details! Details! Details!

*Personalized menus with the couples monogram that we used throughout their wedding design. Monochromatic cookie favours that added to the decor and were a delicious treat to enjoy after!*

The couple provided their own champagne coupes and these custom fluted plinths that matched perfectly with the champagne cart/DJ booth.

*Our team was able to setup these decor details on wedding day since we retrieved them at their ceremony rehearsal. Whatever we can do to make your lives easier on your wedding, we will make happen!*

After their cake cutting, they enjoyed some Moet with their families as a way to cheers to the newly married couple and celebrate their families becoming one.

This wedding was definitely one for the books and we are so thrilled and honoured to have been part of Miriam & Dusan magical wedding day!
