Wedding Planning Tip: Guest List Before Venue

You just got engaged and you're ready to start looking at venues for your big day. Well, before you do that, our wedding planning tip is to put together your guest list first!

After all, you want to know how large, or small your wedding will be to ensure the venue can accommodate. It doesn't have to be exact, just an idea so you know what you're working with.

Once you have numbers, we suggest researching your top 5 dream wedding spaces (Google & Pinterest it up!) and book a site visit. This allows you to see the location in-person and imagine your special day there... or not!

Another little planning tip, only visit places in your budget. Not a good feeling when you walk into a venue and instantly fall in love, to later find out it's way over budget. Nobody has got time for that, especially a newly engaged couple! A simple email or call to the venue should confirm those details.

Whether you like to write everything down, use your phone, or Google Drive like our clients, make that guest list. It's always a great idea to have your parents review it, to ensure you aren't forgetting anyone, like Aunt Betty!

Let us know if this wedding planning tip was helpful and which venue you booked (or are looking at). Feel free to ask us any questions you may have, because nothing makes us happier than helping out couples find their perfect venue for their wedding.

Happy Planning!
