Planning a Wedding in One Month
I met Nay & Cody in mid July when they were in Toronto for the weekend attending their menu tasting at Palais Royale. It was a Sunday afternoon and we briefly spoke about their unique wedding over the phone the night before. I was aware that their wedding was right around the corner, however, thought they were simply inquiring about wedding management. It was an instant connection between us and was ready for the challenge in planning our first Nikah and Walima in just ONE MONTH!
This just goes to show anything is possible when you put your mind to it and you work REALLY hard.

Nay & Cody live in Vancouver so we dived right into all the juicy details of what they had envisioned for their dream wedding that Sunday, since our next in-person meeting would be days before the wedding. Their main focus for their special celebration was food, entertainment and a fun, relaxing vibe.
Nay was the type of bride who knew exactly what she wanted, which is something I truly admired about her right from the beginning. Cody was the type of groom who just wanted to see his bride happy on her special day. Together they were a dream to work with and we’re so happy they chose us to be part of their special celebrations.
The couple married the year before in Vancouver, so this Toronto celebration was intimate and included 60 of their closest family and friends. It was a relaxing vibe that day, which is exactly what Nay & Cody hoped for.
The ceremony took place in the afternoon on Palais Royale‘s terrace which overlooks the water and Toronto’s stunning skyline. It was short and sweet, with some words from the Imam and ending with a drum performance from Bongo & B as the couple made their way down the aisle as Mr & Mrs Casey.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed refreshments on the terrace and could also choose to have their henna done by the amazing Dimple of Touch of Dimple. Once the reception started, guests made their way inside the ballroom to indulge in the assortment of food stations. Because the couple wanted a relaxed vibe, they opted for a cocktail reception, rather than a sit-down dinner and no seating plan, so guests were able to choose their own tables. As mentioned earlier, entertainment was important to Nay & Cody so during the reception they had a photo booth, face painting, cotton candy & popcorn stations as well as games to keep all guests engaged.
It was a Sunday, so it was going to be an earlier night, however, the couple wanted to end the night off in style. And they sure did when guests were welcomed to the terrace for an exceptional firework show over the water. It was the perfect way to end off an amazing day celebrating the beautiful couple.
It will forever put the biggest smiles on our faces knowing we made this magic happen in just one month. Thank you to the wonderful team of vendors for making it such a success. Looking forward to many more beautiful weddings just like this one!
Happy New Years Eve!
