Elora Mills Styled Shoot

Our team was looking to get creative and design a styled shoot that would attract our ideal wedding couples - those who value delicate details and design that will elevate your overall guest experience.

We began by putting together a design proposal that captured the vision for our photoshoot - how did we want it to look and feel? We came up with

clean lines, architectural elements & fashion forward”.

From there, we shared our wedding design board with a few Toronto vendors we knew we wanted to work with. Two lovely ladies we’ve had the pleasure of working together on so many fun collaborations and amazing weddings.

Paula is our go to photographer when it comes to capturing the beautiful details and telling a story.

Paula Visco Photography really came through with the most stunning photos from this styled shoot at Elora Mills and we’re thrilled to share that it’s featured on Wedding Chicks.

We were so glad Ashley from Flowerly Studios was up to get creative and design another beautiful event together!

She totally understood our vision and the reflex rose centerpieces were absolutely everything!

Note that this technique requires a lot of time and patience because the florist will fold petals of the roses to achieve this look AND they are white, so bruise very easily!

Once Ashley and Paula officially became part of the team, we then searched for vendors that aligned with our vision and matched our energy. (we’re always all about the good vibes here at Claudia and Co.)

This is would be the same technique we’d use for our couples. We get to know you, your likes, dislikes, overall vision and then find the best team to make it happen for you!

To secure the perfect space for the shoot, we wanted a venue with architectural details and a light colour palette. We were thrilled when Elora Mill Hotel & Spa was able to accommodate and we could bring this design to life.

We had to work closely with all the vendors on board and secure the rest of the team. We truly believe the vendors for every event has to be the right mix of people and talents, to perfectly bring the design to life and create the overall experience you want for your celebration. Having a planner on your side from the beginning, helps make that happen with ease.

Our dear friends at Sash & Bustle pulled a selection of stunning dresses, accessories and shoes that matched our vision beautifully and we chose our favourites.

The first being a high neck, sheath dress that was paired with a perfect ponytail and pearl drop earrings. Oh, and we can’t forget the pearl sandals to match!

Then there was a gorgeous strapless gown, with a high slit in the front paired with pearl detailed bows heels and simple pearl earrings.

Stunning rings provided by certified gemmologist, Meg Lizabet, completed the look.

Maria from Sweet Avenue Cakery provided an all white cake similar to our inspiration, then included donut guest favors with pearl details to keep our design cohesive.

W Events Decor is a preferred vendor at Elora Mills and with a stunning selection of items to choose from, it was hard for us just to pick what we did. We kept the tabletop rentals simple and chic with white trim chargers, white cutlery to match and crystal glassware to add a bit of elegance to the table.

We worked with Vanessa from Petite Prints before so we knew she was the stationery designer to have part of the team.

She created two wedding invitation suites - one with pearl and vellum details, and the other with angle cut stationery. Both complimented our design beautifully and our team made the stone table number (check out the video here).

Once we secured our vendor team, we finalized the design and sent out a preliminary timeline to all vendors. We confirmed setup and breakdown times with each vendor ensuring a smooth process on event day. Once we finalized all the details, we put together the final documents, including a floor plan for our setup areas and a final timeline that we share with the team.

This helps keeps everyone on the same page and they’ll know what to expect on event day. This is how we handle ANY event and will always do this for our clients and couples, because organization is key and will make your event successful! (along with other factors like experience, hard work, etc.)

When shoot day finally arrived, the Claudia and Co. team were the first to setup at the venue.

We quickly did a walkthrough of the gorgeous spaces we were using that day. We unloaded our day of items (flat lay kit, snacks for the team, dresses, etc.), began the setup and were ready to greet the team upon arrival.

Just like if it was your wedding day, our team would manage all your vendors so everyone is able to get their job done in the best possible way.

Allyssa Helm Beauty arrived shortly after as they provided hair and makeup services for our lovely model Cait. Makeup artists will often have certain requirements for their stations, such as lots of natural light, clear table, several power outlets, and bar height chairs.

We had the beauty team right by a window and made sure to clear a table before they got there, so we could get started on hair & makeup as soon as possible. Just another perk of having a wedding planner onsite, getting vendors what they need and helping to keep on schedule for the day.

Our editorial was a great success and that had to do a lot with the team of vendors that made it happen.

We worked together so well, and on shoot day it was all about colloboration, which is something the Claudia and Co. strives for. We believe the magic happens when we all work together.

We’re so happy to see this gorgeous design come to life and having it featured on Wedding Chicks is such an honour.

Hope this elegant editorial give you inspiration for your next celebration!

XO Claudia
