Real Weddings | Yuxi & Tim

Cluny Bistro - May 11, 2024

It was a cool and crisp Spring morning, but the shine was shining and we were so excited to celebrate our amazing couple for their wedding at Cluny Bistro in Toronto.

The day started with our team checking in with Yuxi & Tim at their getting ready location which was conveniently just down the street from Cluny Bistro. A unique touch which is not like most weddings, was that the couple decided to get ready together with their families since they did not have a wedding party, only a Maid of Honour & Best Man.

It was a pretty chill morning seeing it was a smaller group, but morning check-ins are a must for our team. All we want is for you to enjoy your wedding, so when weโ€™re there with you, we can manage the day and ensure everything is running on time. The couple also provided a few decor pieces that our team took off their hands and brought everything to the venue for them. Exceptional service is what we strive for, so any chance we can to help you out in some way - we are there no matter what!

Once everyone was ready, Yuxi & Tim toured around the Distillery District in Toronto with the fabulous Cassie from Cassie Cetlin Photography and captured the most stunning photos together.

While our team is checking in with the couple, another 1 or 2 team members (depending on the size of your wedding) will be at your venue managing your vendor team and ensuring your vision is flawlessly executed. Yuxi and Tim chose to have their ceremony and reception at Cluny Bistro in the Distillery District. Their ceremony was outside on the patio, with the beautiful brick wall and modern black doors as their backdrop. It was adorned with a gorgeous asymmetrical floral arch designed by Bloomberry & Co.

The talented groom designed this welcome sign and we ensured it was secure upon guest arrival, as you always have to be extra careful when having any signage outside.

As guests arrived, Gloria Yip, who is a great friend of the couple, was playing the violin which really sets the tone for a wonderful celebration. Nothing is better than live entertainment at your wedding - do you agree?

After the couple sealed their love with a kiss in front of their closest family and friends (62 to be exact), they enjoyed their cocktail reception with everyone outside on the patio and Cassie was there to capture the fun!

Space was limited with their guest count inside Cluny Bistro, so their was no use for their arch inside. However, we knew they were planning to do photos outside after the ceremony (itโ€™s details like this that weโ€™ll include on your minute-by-minute timeline, so everyone is on the same page and your wedding day runs seamlessly), so we organized timing with Bloomberry and Co. to pick up the floral arch about 1-2 hours after the ceremony end time. This is one of the reasons why having a wedding planner is beneficial, not just for you, but for your vendor team as well. Your wedding planner will manage your day from beginning to end, ensuring no detail is missed and everyone is taken care of. Everyone is guaranteed (when you work with us) to have the best day!

Cluny Bistro is a stunning Toronto venue, so the wedding design was simple and chic. Pastel floral arrangements in the middle of the long wood tables, with bud vases and candles scattered throughout. The couple was very involved with design details, which is always so fun! Tim put together all their wedding stationery, including custom menus and place cards. An added touch was the chiffon bow done by Yuxi. Here at Claudia and Co, weโ€™re all for the little details, and when the couple puts in the effort for their own wedding, thatโ€™s when the magic really happens!

Cluny Bistro is one of our favourite Toronto venues because the space is incredible as is. With printed wallpaper, unique chandeliers and chairs, along with beautiful blue and white napkins that match the space perfectly - itโ€™s a designerโ€™s dream!

Yuxi & Tim used everything from the venue including their cutlery and printed plates, then added some texture to the tables with chiffon runners.

The wedding took place during the day, so guests enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch menu with a few speeches in-between to celebrate the couple. We were onsite for the entire duration of the wedding to ensure the day ran smoothly and made sure the couples belongings were packed up safely at the end. Our team is with you on wedding day from beginning to end, because we want to be there if anything happens. This means you can full enjoy all the special moments that happen on your wedding day.

If youโ€™re looking for a Toronto wedding planning team who will curate a wedding that is uniquely you, full of personalized details and designed to perfection, then get in touch today and setup a connection call to see if we have your date available.
