This Toronto studio wedding began with a couple who wanted one thing above all else: an unforgettable experience for their guests. Good food, great music, and an atmosphere that felt effortless, fun, and full of life.
Instead of choosing a traditional venue, they leaned into something more unexpected and chose a studio space in downtown Toronto, I’ve Got Dreams Studio, that allowed them to transform the day into a multi-room experience.

The celebration began with an intimate ceremony officiated by Shawn’s uncle, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Earlier in the day, Monika & Shawn shared a quiet sunset first look, which was a grounding moment before the energy of the night unfolded.

After the ceremony, guests were invited upstairs, where the reception was in full swing. More friends joined as the evening continued, and the space quickly filled with incredible energy, elevated by the vibrant sounds of DJ Flavia, a Toronto wedding DJ, and delicious food by Heirloom Fine Foods, known for elevated Toronto wedding catering.
The vibe was lively, social, and constantly moving, which was exactly what the couple envisioned.

But what made this wedding truly unique was how intentionally the space was designed for connection. While the upstairs hosted the main celebration, guests could also move downstairs into a completely reimagined lounge-style space.

The ceremony room was transformed into a relaxed hangout area, complete with a stocked fridge of beers and coolers, nostalgic touches, and an old-school playlist curated by the couple themselves. It created the perfect contrast. It was a place to step away from the dance floor without ever leaving the celebration.

One of the most meaningful moments of the entire celebration came at the very start of the evening, when everyone came together for a shared fireball shot. This is a tradition rooted in memories from family cottage weekends and a heartfelt tribute honouring Monika’s late parents. It set the tone for a night that was not only joyful but deeply personal.
Monika & Shawn’s wedding was non-traditional in every sense, but that’s exactly what made it unforgettable. It wasn’t about following a formula, but creating a space that felt like them. And it was, without question, one of those weddings where every single guest left feeling like they were part of something truly special.
